Even if you have to buy completely new equipment for everything, including a monitor and speakers, $3000 is insane. Then again some people are stupid enough to pay $3500-$4000 for a top of the line PC that should be around $2000 because they want the nice 'Alienware' or "VoodooPC" on their case.
Note I said "fairly decent"..I didn't say it was top of the line. Back in July, I was running a 1Ghz Tbird with a Kyro II..I ran MOHAA, RTCW, etc..MOHAA got a little choppy, but it was playable. Not everybody has to play in 1600x1200x32 at 75fps. :)
