I just rented it for the xbox, man... fun game! I was thinking it'd be all novelty, naked women in a video game... whoopie. But its a lot more than that. Its the cursing (the f,s,a words so far, maybe more?). Its the crude sophmoric humor (fireman who's "hose" runs out of "water" and he needs helping "getting it up." Its dropping hookers off at hotels, watching two dogs hump, and listening to unintelligable homeless guys bum money. And i'm still on the first level!!!
Its pretty much the Tony Hawk engine too so the playability is pretty good.
PS my skater is a catholic school girl with white panties. Hey! Let he who is without pr0n on his machine cast the first stone.

Exactly, so why'd you crap on my thread? You could've stayed away.Quote:

I FINALLY get your comment about the weird grinding angles. And I'll give you that that is true, and was true of Tony Hawk, which as far as I know, is the best selling game of that genre (like inline, skating, biking type stuff). But you're right if you're sideways up in the air you can save yourself with a grind. But like the other poster said, its a game for fun not realism, in which case how about having to wait 20+ years to pull off a 1080, yeah thats a fun game!
I'll give you one other note, but this is more to people who might be considering buying it. I have noticed you can get stuck in weird places, it simply takes a jump or a jiggle of the joystick to get unstuck but if you're looking for perfection it has some minor bugs (along with 99% of all games out there).
So you don't like it fine, don't crap on my thread, thread crapper. I stand by the fact its a fun game. I like hearing curse words, just as much as I chuckle at a good fart, or midgets. Sense of humor preference is not a reflection of maturity. Lookit howard stern, he's at least in his late 40s and has an excellent career going with sophmoric humor. Calling a 25 year old a 'boy' Wurm, shows your immaturity at 37. At least keep the moderation bipartisan and informed.
I mean the 90 degrees thingy in THPS :)Quote:

i mean, i don't skate or do stunts on my bike, but i imagine that if you tried to grind when you're at 90 degrees relative to the rail, you'd just flip over and faceplant.
you sir, get a gold star in my book.
Cuz the guy was like "BMX is different from THPS and BMX sucks b/c you can do grind at 90 degrees"
The point I was trying to make is that THPS is like that also, so is THPS also bad?
Dude it isn't exactly the easiest thing to learn how to do tricks on a skateboard. I know this because I am a skater. And what exactly are you comparing that to?? I know of no game that requires you to actually "learn" a trick.Quote:

If you want realism, don't play games :)
i believe that he was comparing it to the idea presented earlier that the game was bad due it it's lack of realism, that's all...
Preach on my brutha. I feel sorry for ppl that wont laugh for the sake of being seen as immature... You ppl are missing out on one of the best and most simple pleasures of life a good laugh. And there is nothing better then a simple fart joke to bring a laugh out of my mouth. There will always be that "mature" person with a dry sence of humor pissing on the fun had by "immature" ppl pffft.Quote:

I'm surprised that the gameplay is actually good. I figured this thing would just be a rental novelty too. Intersting.
