RF = crappiest connection (old tv's)
Composite (Yellow, Red, White) = standard (it's what comes with the consoles)
S-video = sharper image
Comp(Red, Green, Blue) = best, sharp and colorful.
Nah, all my TV's are old and only have the old hookups. Deffinately incentive to upgrade though.
Yeah, I would buy this but I have my Gamecube connect through component cables to a 36 Sony WEGA XBR...so it's pointless. Exspecially considering I can sit on the couch with the Wavebird:DQuote:

i run my games through emulators whenever i can, because most good emulators have video resampling engines (2xSai, Super Eagle, etcetc) that make the game look significantly better.
'course, that only works for, what, the SNES, PSX, and Genesis? but i guess you can't always have your cake...
All that Sai and Eagle crap looks really funky to me... But its cool to play PSX games on ePSXe at high resolution with antialiasing :D
Crap, that must look awesome.Quote:

Well if your're on a budget you can still get a sizeable 27inch tube (2 comb filter) with S-video inputs for $200 and $300-350 for one with component.
I'm looking at a 32inch advent one myself (it's called SDTV since it supports progressive scan 480P mode which is the highest the GC supports anyhow and most of the XBox games too). It's roughly $500 but that's going have to last 6 to 7 years :).

Oh, trust me buddy, iv been haunting the TV rows at my local Best Buy for the last coulple months. Deffinately leaning toward 36". I have noticed an optical illusion having to do with the size of the frame surrounding the TV though. Theres one TV in the 32" section which has a screen that looks bigger then all the others because it has a smaller frame.
