I'm 30 years old and have been playing games practically all my life. I've never committed any sort of violence on anyone. It's nice how all these different groups can put a spin on things to make it sound like they are right.
"Danger: Do videogames teach people how to kill?
Yes. When videogames were linked to the Columbine high school shooters, a frenzy of new research was launched, in which, one team of researchers discovered that first person shooter games do indeed teach gamers with the basic knowledge of how to kill. This research arrived be so conclusive that the U.S. government Army developed a free videogame to be used as a virtual boot camp and killing simulator"
Hmmm.... I think we should start investigating those Lifetime movies. I mean, just look at all the beating and killing going on in those things. That could be constrewed as "teaching" as well. Also, ever notice how the women kill and get off scott-free while the men go to prison in those shows? Disturbing.
:)
If you couldn't tell that this site was satirical after reading that, stop playing games, you'll probably end up killing someone :pQuote:

Unfortunately, the reason that site got so much attention is because it mirrors the truth about biased research and shady facts when it come to vidio game violence and was not a far stretch from "facts" that others have tried to pawn off as the truth.Quote:

Just look at our friend Colonel David Grossman and his assertion that vidio games are murder simulators and that by playing them you are subsequently able to shoot a gun better then someone trained by the military or government. This guy made all the news shows back during Columbine, I even remember seeing him on Politically Incorrect.

This came up with the Washington Sniper also. Can being an AWP wH0r3 make you a real life sniper? HA, you can play CS for years but that doesn't mean you'll know jack about the proper way to fire a rifle. The first thing you'll be asking if "This gun doesn't work! What's this 'safety' thingy?"
Yep, same thing with Microsoft Flight Simulator and Sept 11. You can learn a bit playing vidio games but you need the hands on training as well. Thats why those guys had to go to flight school as well. The Microsoft game merely helped thier training, it was not a substitute for it.
