You might damage it, but its the same with all OC'ing. There is always a chance of damaging a product if it is being run out of spec. However, from the cases I have seen people can put 2.85volts through it and run fine for an extended amount of time. It is good quality RAM, so I think you should be alright :)
Just in case you guys didn't see my thread in techinical support, i did some research and found that the errors I am getting are most likely a software/driver issue rather than memory running out of spec. I did a "sysprep" instead of install the os fresh and all of the people reporting this error solved it by reinstalling the OS or eliminating the driver causing the problem. I have a feeling since I can boot up fine at 166fsb, that the ram can handle that speed.
