Should I buy this LCD monitor before the deal runs out?

on second look, it might not be bad as a bargain monitor if you are just doing office work and surfing. i thought i had read something negative about a cheap LCD at walmart, but i can't find it anywhere on the web. (or maybe i am remembering some comments from amazon.com site?)

anyway, refresh rate does not really matter for LCDs so don't worry about that, but no DVI kind of sucks. i'd be interested in a review when you get it. :cool: if it trails or ghosts really bad, just try to return it and get a monitor with DVI.

Refresh rate doesn't really matter, but response time does, and the wal-mart one doesn't have great response time. This means it's not gonna be great for gaming or DVD movies (though I'm sure it's tolerable), but for general office applications and net surfing it'd be fine.

yupe, response time. that was what i meant by saying "Refresh rate" I got the wrong terminology.

anyway, I did check the thread provided by AMD Soldier and people are saying it have a 30ms response time... yuck!

as far as I know 16ms or less is good for games.. at 30ms I gotta see if it ghost or anything.

damn, 30ms response time and no DVI..

ohh well you get what u pay for, I mean if I want DVI and 16ms response time I would have to put in a bout $200+ more.

Yeah it has 30ms response time, however it doesn't mean you will see ghosting. I don't know the details, but it varies amoung LCD's looks like, some with 25ms seem to have more ghosting than 30ms models for example. So I believe it has to do with more than just the response time.

From what I've read, seems to be very minor to no ghosting on it and for that price I could care less. :D
