Hmm, I´m not sure which sound card to get for my new computer system in the near future. The Terratec 6-Fire or the M-audio Revolution 7.1? My highest priority is music. After that it is games and DVD´s.
While this is a pretty tempting card, the Terratec DMX6Fire 24/96 wins me over simply due to the breakout box. If only it weren't so damn expensive. :)
Yes, the breakout box is a plus for me too. I like to have easy access to the headphone out and the other speaker cables etc.Quote:

Anyway, if I remember correctly from various reviews both the M-Audio and the Terratec were many miles ahead of the competition in the music department. As it stands I think it's more a personal preference thing, and the Terratec has the built-in phono pre-amp in the breakout box. :cool:
