To give you an ideal, I had the FSB at 170 (synch), timings at 2-3-3-6, 1.7Vcore, motherboard default vdimm. Benchmarks and games were 100% stable...
I just wanted to let you guys know that the ram didn't give me any problems in DC DDR mode.
My brother has this setup. Runs fine and everything, no problems. Tight timings, good 3DMARK stuff, and OCage :cool:

im running 8rda and 2 pc3500 256 sticks... no problems here
janko10, What I suggest you do this time is start at 166 FSB w/mult of 8 and increase FSB by 1 running memtest and P95 benchmark each time. A 5 MHz jump, while seemingly small, may be too much. As I told you before, it takes a while to do it this way, but this is the way I reached 200 FSB on my sys. Then once you reach your max FSB with max mem timings, go to work on your mult.
Also, leave the Vcore and Vdimm alone until you need to increase them. Then increase either/or depending on your level of comfort/need for higher FSB or mult/adequate cooling.
I may have been able to reach a higher FSB, but don't have all the cooling I want/need yet; so I backed down a bit and started playing w/the mult. I'm currently at 190/10.5 w/Vcore & Vdimm untouched at 1.6v & 2.6v respectively.
Tried that my friend, cept I started at 170 instead. Still peaks at 180mhz. Have to bump up Vdimm to 2.77 and Vcore to 1.975 now to be completely stable + no prime 95 errors.Quote:

Do you think with that mobo/proc and 2 sticks of 3500 corsair XMS and an SLK-900 and tornado 92 mm, that I could hit 2.4 ghz?Quote:

Alien, orignially people were reporting even worse problems with the corsair, but supposedly the newer bios has fixed it. I can't say for sure cause I don't have that ram so I haven't been checking up on that issue. I would definetly ask around, either here, amdforums.com and aoaforums.com. It would seem, as long as the ram has no issues, it would be up to your proc then to hit 2.4. I'm at 2.35 now 13x180, so I don't see why you couldn't hit 2.4.Quote:

maybe i wasn't too clear, i only have one stick to use. i haven't tried two sticks. but i will be getting another over summer, and have one gig of pc3500:D
A friend of mine has 2x256 Mb Corsair XMS PC3200 and offered to let me try it with my setup. Hopefully, I can get together with him this weekend and test it out. I will report back with results.
When you buy your second stick your memory will have to drop from 231 to 180 or below or it will not boot.Quote:

If you have 2x512mb Kingston HyperX synched on an 8RDA+ A1, you won't be able to get above 180mhz. The most I've seen anybody get is 185mhz and it wasn't stable. That's why I'm talking to Kingston and Epox now to try and resolve the issue.Quote:
