Has anyone seen the 9-part demo videos out there? Holy Friggin Cow is all I can say. The physics are just too wild! This game will definately give D3 a run for the money. I expect I'll need some form of psycho-therapy after playing one, or the other, or both!
Can anyone confirm if this game will still run in s/w mode. I love playing the original CS in s/w mode cuz I am still using a 2mb S3 968 PCI video card.

From what i hear, D3 is the only game thats gonna come remotely close to H2, which would imply that Half life 2 is gonna be the head honcho. My guess is that D3 wont have a chance.Quote:

I honestly think the only engines that come close from now until 2005 to Doom III will be Kreed and Half-Life 2.

Are you allowed to just scan the mag like that? I figure that would be copyrighted material... but maybe not oh well nice pics but I saw that 500mb trailer/demo/e3 (I'm guessing it was E3) movie of HL2 - very impressive stuff :)

Well, I'll HAVE to play Doom 3 no matter what. Those guys are my Homeboys- only because I'm from Dallas, heh - and I grew up with the game alongside good ole' Duke. BUT, there is no comparrison. HL2 is by far the most advanced game I've ever seen. I'm drooling watching the 500meg movie... the wife came home, saw the hard-on, and assumed I was happy to see her. Poor, poor thing.
