Well sure it counts, there's just different levels of AA, the basics one being edge aliasing which n64 had and some titles on psx. This gen is mostly about deflickering filters and multi sampling anti aliasing, which ps2 can do, just maybe not as gracefull as GC or xbox, but its doable and good ps2 programmers are usually using it.
