starting with layout,
holes were drilled and again dremel and files were needed.
it looks like this, not quit finished but you get the picture!
this will show you the overall look of front, with drives stealthed,
this also will have power and reboot buttons along with 4- on/off switches for fans. (they all glow in the dark)
the area that is not aluminum is mirrored acrylic and will be back lit with blue led's,

will post finished window right shortly......
That's a nice, original window. I'm really looking forward to seeing the entire thing assembled.
BTW, what sort of tools are you using?
From the look of the cuts and the starting holes, I think he's using a jig saw on the window. For the smaller stuff a dremel...
How much is this costing you? Raw materials about $150-200?
Is the rig gonna be put on water? And thus the reason for your design? If that's the case, did ya fashion your own blocks too? :p

I'm speechless. I can't wait to see the final product.
Come on web I know you got 1 more thing done now... and where is the finished window you promised??? :D
BTW I really like your project, infact it has inspired me a little bit to start modding.
Keep the pics rollin' in.
OK...here is finished cut out of splat, this is in the middle of gluing blue molding around the edges.
the window will be 60% (auto privacy) tinted this kinda gives an idea of what that will look like...

will post more of splat when completely finished phase II
Now if I would peer through that window, would I see the hardware inside? I like the tinted effect, that will look awesome.
Congrats so far, everything is turning out excellent man, you get 2 thumbs up from everyone here!!:D
