Bah....
'Tis the nature of ebay, I 'spose.
That's why i always try to sell it off to friends first :D
Except that it is a Ps2 and they are known for there lasers dieing.... I have 4 friends that there PS2 crapped out on them within a year (3) and the other one crapped out after year and few months. I only have 2 friends that still ahve there PS2 running. (just a warning to ya) but if its refurbished hopefully it had that problem arleady and they fixed it.Quote:

As i said before, there are simply NO games in the xbox pipeline that interest me anymore. And there is a HUGE number of games in the PS2 pipeline that make me dance with joy (rockman X7!!!!).
Also, 180 is my absolute limit, and i need to get a game and a mem card with the system. And anyway, how is a refub in good condition diffrent from my own xbox which has been out of the box for a year or so? I see none.
I remember something like that, but i think that was within the first year that it came out. Long time ago :DQuote:

Oh, and ive been meaning to ask this for a while:
Do the PS2 modchips allow both to play Japanese and backup games? And what DVD format does PS2 accept games in?
Its hard as hell, I still havent unlocked X (yeah, you dont even start off with him), Axel is a really cool character, and I dont know what the hell is going on due to all the Japanese!Quote:

A mod's functionality depends on which mod you want to get. I have a Magic 3.0 w/ external switch installed in my machine, that lets me play all backups and import japanese games without the need of a boot disc. It also removes the region restrictions from your ps2, so you can play DVDs from anywhere if you want to.
Older PS2's will only play DVD-Rs, while v7 can play DVD-R and +R.
Heh i figured, megamen games are always hard. Does it follow the same megaman layout though, as in choose a boss and progress through a stage to fight him? Or is it a linear game?Quote:

THe mod chips, do they have to be soldered to the mainboard of the unit? Any solder-free ones out?
Of course, megaman is always megaman :D (with the exception of Megaman Battle Network on GBA, of course)Quote:

There are no-solder chips, but they will either not work, or destroy your PS2. A friend of mine's ps2 just stopped working 2 days after putting the thing in. Oh, and they dont even run imports!!
