How does one one take apart the 4 pin ATX power plug? I want to sleeve this guys but cant figure out how to remove the pins. Its not like the molex connectors at all...:confused:

Yeah you have to buy a new mobo. I am still using IDE cables (round ones not flat ribbons) to connect the other drives. Thsi Asus comes w/2 SATA and 2 IDE's so I guess you can hook up to 6 devices to it, keeping in mind that you can't daisychain devices on a SATA.

So hard drives are the only thing using SATA right now? SATA is ATA150 right? Is there a noticeable difference in benchmarking with SATA? If I buy a board with 2 SATA ports I can only have 2 hard drives installed correct? Would it make a difference if i kept my DVD drive and CDRW drive on seperate IDE channels or should I just connect them to the same one?

and yes SATA is ATA150, on a board like mine you can install 6 "devices" 2 on the SATA channels and 4 on the IDE channels. So this could be configured alot of diff ent ways..

www.performance-pcs.com actually does sell power supplies they re-tool so that you can add and remove what connectors you want..

and by the way, what did you use to cap those wires?

So you just cut the unused wires with a pair of scissors or something? That's a good idea, I have a bunch of extra wires mucking up my air flow.

HOLY COW, when did they start doing this??? What freaking Rock have I been under?? Since I haven't been shopping for PS's lately, I missed these. I really like them and just might piss Momma Off and get one. Damn, Damn, I already have a Enermax 431W sitting in a box, this would mean my Antec 400W would have to join it. Very nice. I got tired of the whole case wiring neatness thiong, but I can still appreciate when someone else does a really nice job at it.

it wouldnt be too hard to cut and strip the wires and do the modular mod yourself
