Well, where I live, online shopping is usually a good idea. Sales tax is much higher here than in most states, so if you can wait an extra day and get free shipping, you're gonna save yourself some money. And every little bit helps.

I've been trying to get some older games (like Privateer). None of the regular PC gaming retailers have those good, classic games...and the bargin bin at Wal-Mart doesn't either :/
Online stores represent the best average IMO. However, the best single titles can often be found only by physically walking into a store
Wal-Mart can be a really good place for good prices though. Frankly I think it's because they don't know the value of their own merchandise. ;)Quote:

Last week, I walked in and saw Return to Castle Wolfenstein for $9. And then next to it, the original Myst (in the original box) was $49. It completley defies all logic sometimes.
I have a feeling the cashiers look at the coverart on the box and assign the higher price to the one that looks better.
Heck, I found the speakers in my sig (which are going for $100 at both Best Buy and CompUSA) for a measely $35 at Wal-Mart several months ago.
