Cool case, and you're getting black I assume? Wish I had chosen a Lian Li or CoolerMaster case for my AMD rig (for some variety), BUT, what the heck. I still like it! Looks like an awesome rig and case dude! :DQuote:

DRS, what is the stepping on that thing??? From what I have seen the AQXEA chips now a days are doing this sort of OC regularly. The Y chips are supposedly the better OC'ers, I was just wondering if you had the full stepping code...

I ran prime all night, and when I got up this morning it was still running. It did give me a couple of warnings, but so does every other o.c.ed rig that I have.
I tried to push to 12.5 X 200 (2500mhz:eek: ) and she posted then tanked loading Windows. I gave it my max 1.85 vcore, and it still wouldn't go. If I could give it even 1.9, I'm sure it would. All you NF7-S and 8RDA rev. 2.0 guys ought to be getting 2500 out of it...
Royal, next time I pull the hs off, I'll p.m. you the full stepping. It was something like AQXEA3033 BLAH BLAH BLAH. You know, I just had an idea. I think I'll drop this cpu in my AK37, it's doing 12.5 X 200 on my Xp2400 right now, and its Vcore goes to 2.3V (INSANE:eek: ) Cool, now I have something to do today...

1.85 is crap. We're both in the same boat unless it works on your AK37. I know you can preform a voltage mod to the A7N8X that'll give you insane vcore options... But I dunno where to start. I know you need a 24k variable resistor but that's speciality and a little hard to find.Quote:

my 2500 is crazy about vcore... 1.75v gets me 2.2ghz totally solid. it takes 1.95 to get me 2.3ghz and 2.1 to get me 2.4ghz. i've tried 2.2v at 2.5ghz, but it wouldn't work.
No Go! I dropped this cpu in my Shuttle AK37, and I got it to post at 12.5 @ 195 fsb on 2.1 vcore, but it kept restarting while loading Windows. It wouldn't even post at 12.5 X 200 even with 2.2vcore. 12 X 200 was totally stable at 1.85 vcore, so I put it back in the A7N8X. Anybody got 2500mhz out of a 2500 yet?Quote:

here's a nice read :
hexus.net - they overclock a 2500+ up to 11x212.
my 2500+ is rocking hard. No higher than 43 degrees c when 100% on the proc. that is when clocked to 2200 (200x11 no overvoltage still at the 1.65v). That is the same as the 3200+ and its AIR cooled. (volcano 7 with a smart fan II installed.) With more cooling, I think I could hit the same or better than what hexus.net got.
By the way, I have had better luck with boxed procs instead of oem when overclocking. anyone else agree?
AXDA2500DKV4D AQXEA 0330VPMW
how high can one expect to go on a Nforce2 400 set?
Gotta Luv the 2500+

Interesting point. Both my Barton 2500 and my Xp2400 were retail packs from my vendor. I have an Xp2100 that came bulk, and it wasn't good for more than 180fsb in the same rig that my Xp2400 is in now. Coincidence?
