You can only play 2 people per cube in lan mode. You can play 4 people split screen on one cube. You can't have two cubes both playing 4 people split screen via lan. I hope this changes, but I doubt it.

None of those shots or movies show more than 4 human players playing at a time. I guess I'll have to wait until it comes out, buy 2 cubes, 2 games, and 6 extra controllers to figure it out.
I saw a screenie with 4 human player split screen at gamespot.com. They have like 5 pages of screenies, you just have to find which ones they are.:)
I think the only LAN setup they had for the test drive was 2 cubes and 2 controllers at each cube. I think you can do 4 people per cube for a total of 8 with 2 cubes. I've checked on the Nintendo forums and that's what everyone has said. If not, guess I'll have to get 2 more cubes.
Oh, I forgot you were talking about lan setup. Hopefully there can be four to per cube. Hey, there only $99 anyway, so what the hell.:)Quote:

Wow, that screenshot of Mario and Yoshi switching seats is cool.
I was like ***?
There's even a co-op mode where two people can be in the same kart. Must be hard though.
It seems innovative, but I don't think it'd be fun.Quote:

if i was nintendo i wouldn't implement the ability to play 4 people per cube! not when there are so many people willing to go buy 3 or 4 extra gamecubes, i'd rather have $350 for game/3 cubes than just $50, you?
I guess I'll find out in a month since nobody seems to know.
Are you kidding? Think of all the people freaking out just because each player needs a GBA to play Crystal Chronicles, and calling Nintendo money grubbing assholes because of that. Now think of how these same people will feel if they can only play Mario Kart multiplayer if each player has a gamecube, a copy of the game, a controller, and a TV to play it on.Quote:

can you say Microsoft? lmao. reminds me of winxp, have two pc's? better buy two copies you little thieving pirate hacker you... nintendo is burning customers if thats the case, thats just bad
Console sales aren't where the real profit lies with Nintendo. They would make more money by selling more copies of the game, then they would by selling more cubes.
Yes, nintendo is starting to get on my nerves with these ridiculous requirements for multiplayer. Especially with final fantasy cc. Each person has to have a gba, that's just obsurd(I will be getting one though, lol). And nintendo knows that the games are so good that people will run out and get the extra gba's and cube's just to play.Quote:
