Hey how can i get mine fixed?
Have you guys heard of this problem?
I bought mine in Feburary, and then everytime I try and play a game of NCAA 2003 football, the screen goes black in the second quarter of the game and says. "THE GAMECUBE DISC IS DIRTY" or something to that affect? I think the motor with the laser head is dead :o
Who should I complian to, Nintendo? Target (where i bought it)?
a Gamecube for 99 bucks . i half to pick one of these up myself i would like to play some of the games like Zelda,Metroid,Resident evil etc...EBworld has them preowned they will probally be 70 bucks or so what a deal :)
That happened to me with Wrestle Mania X8. It looked perfectly clean on the bottom of the disc. After cleaning it up (I used a slightly damp 100% cotton cloth to wipe the entire bottom of the disc, then dried it with another dry 100% cotton cloth) it worked like a charm. Never had the error with that game since. If the lens on the GCN is broken, no games would run at all.Quote:

Not to be a meany, but here's the plan. You get the GCN and buy all the games you want. Play them for awhile and see the graphics for yourself. After that, call your friend over and laugh at his face. Trust me, like the N64, Nintendo made sure that quality goes first.Quote:

Just the fact that we'll be getting 2 metroid games, 2 zelda games, 2 mario games, a good 3rd party support from japan, RPGs that totally *****slap anything n64 ever got in the genre, EA support, Sega support, metal gear/resident evil/final fantasy and the possibility of classic gameboy franchises such as fire emblem and the Wars series, will make gamecube way above n64 in my book. Heck, if Square would be supporting gamecube more with RPGs, i think i would probably even go as far as saying equal or better than SNES..
I own all 3 and honestly the GC get the least amount of use, the titles while some are quality just are not that engaging and anything that comes out on all 3 is usually better on the XBOX or the PS2
ESPN/Sega sports titles wont even be released for the Cube, that should send a warning, if anyone can recognize a sinking console its SEGA heh:cool:

Your friend obviously hasn't played Metroid Prime. I would say that the Qube is on even ground with the Xbox and yes I've played both. For me not having a harddrive means there is one less thing that can break. Honestly I think it is the perfect console. Now if Nintendo would just get their online policy up to date.Quote:

Sega deserves it for making Michael Jordan an old fogie on their NBA2K2+ games. That's not a big deal, 'cause EA still releases all their big sports games on GCN. Plus, they released "The Sims" for the GCN too. It's cool how they added a goal oriented game called "Get A Life" mode. I suggest you try that game when you get the GCN.Quote:

By technical specifications, the GCN has better graphics than the PS2 as well as faster loading times:p

Yea Ikaruga looks really nice, kinda like raden on the old turbo grafix 16 :D I might pick one up, now I just need a job, hmmmm....

That is a great idea! :D I should apply, the best buy here in town is on the other side of the city though :( But I could try getting a job at say EB, maybe they will hire me :DQuote:

EB would be foolish not to hire somebody who knows so much about games and has a hidden agenda (heh heh, gotta work to get the $$$ for the GCN).:D If you ask me, it's a win win situation for both you and EB.Quote:

Yea, I'd be better suited in a place like best buy so I could steer everyone clear of the laptops and desktops and give them my card so I could build it for them cheaper :D think of all the money I'd make!Quote:

I do know a fair bit about games and most of the people they hire are pot smoking idiots anyways which kinda sucks cause I could do a better job. Same with places like radio shack. Case in point, no one in the store knew what a molex connector was.
