I'm not trying to hijack the original thread starter here, but...since we're talking about sky views...
I got fascinated by high-res satellite views when the war in Iraq was in full swing.
It was chilling to see "before" shots of the presidential palace and a few days later,
see the same thing "after" a few tomahawks made their mark, all in mega-high resolution.
Eerie and impressive.
Anyhow, two of my favorite sites for this sort of thing:
digital globe and space imaging .
Some of these file are pretty big but I don't know where you'd get the 750MB files that ua549 is looking for.
Prolly have to pay for them! The world is marvelous when looked at from waaaay on high.
Bora Bora is pretty nice ua549, you lucky dog.
Here's a place I wanna go before I die, mmmmmm...Singapore.
My apologies to everyone for the size,
but this pic is 1.37MB and you are rewarded with a sweet view of what looks like a bee-yoo-tee-full city.
Enjoy!

I doubt you would want to spend your remaining days in Singapore.
Aside from the town area, its filled with boring repetitve HDBs(flats)
Its a very stable(no racial discrimination) country, you won't find any KKK around here.
You should check out our clubs though especially "Zouk"
But there isn't really much to see, so you might just want to come here for a holiday.
good find;)Quote:

More like your grandparents' money in the case of that particular picture. Some of those B-52's could've been in service since 1954. ;) They've been relegated to an "airplane graveyard" where they're being used for spare parts. If anything, they're saving money by recycling parts off those old beasts instead of ordering new ones. (Then again, it might be kinda hard to order "new" parts for an airplane that hasn't been produced since 1962.)Quote:
