I have one of the MS Forcefeedback stick from forever ago, it has a cooling fan on it that is hella loud. I also have a MS gamepad that has the gyros in it, it kicks *** for the motocross game that came with it.
I am sad to say with all that hardware I own.. I am still only a keyboard/mouse man :(
I have an older Logitech Forcefeedback Flight controller (sucker is huge!) which I used once in MDK *lol*
mouse/ keyboard and my trusty saitek x45 HOTAS, it's teh r00l

Actually, the only game I play is SE4 and all that is required is KVM and an internet connection to pass turns with.
Glad to see there are other mech jocks here.
X-45 for MW3-4, and Flight Sims..........
I loved MW2 when I had my old Thrustmaster...........same with GBL and Mercs.........
Wish MW3 and X45 were a little more compatible.........hell you could go the entire game with out touching the keyboard and mouse.
ahhhhhhhhhhhh "dreaming"................and online, with all the functions......"free moving target reticle" plus torso twist, not to mention the grouping of waepons and the designs possiblities......god can you say sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

depends on what kind of game i'm playing:
first person shooters (including games like aquanox, etc) - keyboard & mouse
racing games - gamepad (gravis eliminator pro) or wheel (ms force feedback)
most other games (sports, tony hawk, etc) - gamepad
Most games = keyboard and mouse
THPS4, NHL, or Madden = PS2 controller hooked up to my comp :)
how'd you get a ps2 controller hooked to the pc? kick ***. the controller i got is just like the ps2 one, but having a ps2 one would be even better LOL
It definitly takes a good week of practice, and then you don't use it for everything. I first started using it for graphic design work, then I found that I could actually control the helicopters in BF1942 very easily with it. I just picture the helicopter on the top of the ball and it's just a simple matter of rolling it to get where I want to go. Now I can out fly anything in BF/DC/EoD with my trackball, I've got much greater response than a mouse. Once in Battle of Britain I had a guy who was a real ace peppering my spitfires backside, so I took him under the bridge, and then looped back thorough the left support. The guy didn't stand a chance of pulling that tight turn, he smashed into the hill and I with my 1% healty plane went and got a new one.Quote:

For infantry it's strictly keyboard + mouse. ;)
I own a ps2 to usb adapter, which I bought here. I own the 4 port version, which works perfectly except that it has no rumble. Other than that it's perfect :)Quote:

I still can't get used to trackballs though. I'll stick with a mouse for now.
It's "daishi", not "diashi", but you get bonus points for knowing the clanner name too :)
For fps/rts/overhead games, keyboard+trackball. Or whatever you want to called a MouseMan Marble. It's a ball, but it's under your thumb, so... anyway. I've been using it for 3 or 4 years now, and a normal mouse is really primitive by comparison.
For mechs, nothing is better than a good joystick. Unless it's two good joysticks. It's a lot more immersive, for me anyway. Left stick = throttle and heading, right stick = torso. Haven't played in a while.

Also, it depends on what im playing.
Shooters: Keyboard/Mouse
Just about Everything Else: Gamepad
I use a logitech wingman and a ps2 controller hooked up through usb myself.
