My roomie has the same desk and I have the same mouse pad;)
That sub is so big man, what are the measurements of it?
uh, it's huge, compared to any other MM sub i've ever seen. it's about 1.5x the size of a 680 sub, the weight seems better distrubted though. i'm a afraid i'm going to go deaf. i need some better quality mp3s, i can hear the little distortions, kinda like crackling, even in my 192kpbs, that i never heard in the z680s. i need to rerip my cds.Quote:

Haha, I just re-repped all the CD's I listen to on a daily basis to 320kbps. Plus, I think I've decided on the Revo now. Man I'll be set by the time my Ultra's get here.Quote:

*grinds teech* Only 1.5 months:mad:
is it normal that i hear crackling? i think it's the crappy quality of some mp3s.
Try playing a music CD directly... if you still hear the crackling, time to start finding out the sourceQuote:

hrm...
i gotta dig up this cd...
m316Foley told me he could clearly hear a difference between a 192kbps and 320kbps song. Like Coolqf said, try a music CD.
Hehe, looks like you have alot of ripping ahead of you!
i blame it on winamp.
what windows volume do u guys have it on. i attribute it to that too. and what do u guys use to listen to mp3s, cds?
I need to personally inspect the speakers for quality craftsmanship and to find the source of the offending noises. Just send the speakers to my house and I believe I can help you out. I won't charge you a dime. You will however need to pay shipping (return as well, but just send cash...I'll do all the work.).
thx for the offer, but my next door neighbor is an audiophile. he works with car audio for his job, and his house is loaded with cool toys and gadgets. i'll just force him to look at it if anything... btw, i don't notice any crackling anymore, i blame it on winamp and bad mp3s.
oh, and having winamp preset on soft rock is usually pretty good for most stuff. a little more on the lows and highs, leaving the mids more or less default. oh, i reripped the song, and it sounds fine, it's the 192 kpbs mp3s. man, that is nuts.Quote:
