Hey, it's still a good card and I like it, I'll be buying one for my niece's rig soon. I've got my eyes on an Inno3D 128mb Ti4200 which is being retailed for about US$80+ :D , a good deal imo. ;)Quote:

It is a good card, especially considering the price. Good for 90% of the general population, but a this point in time, not the best choice for sharky regulars.
Yep, it's good for gamers on a budget and the casual gamers. ;) There are many in my neck of the wood running their gaming rigs with the MX cards.:eek: Still, this is quite typical as many buy Dell or HP pre-assembled rigs that come with Intergrated Intel gfx, Intergrated Intel gfx2 (didn't know about this till a coupla days ago) MX440 or an ATI 9200. Definitely not for the regular Sharky members! ;) I'm not disparaging members who have said cards, just pointing out that these cards aren't great for gaming. A Ti4200 would be much better, I know I was impressed when I first tried it!:DQuote:

Don't worry about it, a Ti4200 would be able to handle most games quite easily. Heck, you'd be able to run HL2 in DX8 mode for gaming goodness. Save up for the next generation nV or ATI cards. ;) I'm waiting for AMD64FX51 + nForce3 chipset to mature before upgrading. Hopefully, the R420 (Loki, I think) would be available so I'll be able to start anew.:DQuote:

Nothing can be done if you don't try, put aside minor upgrades and save for a massive upgrade later. ;) I've already set aside some $$ for an AMD64 setup BUT I'm biding my time for now.;) Meanwhile, be happy with the Ti4200 you've got, it OCs nicely and should provide you with hours of DX8 gaming goodness.;)Quote:

It is a good card for what it is. But, it is wrong to compare it to a card (9600Pro) that can do sooooooooooooo much more and claim that it is better. Sure in DX8 they may match, but I didn't buy my 9600Pro for DX8 uses, I bought a card that would give me some AA and Ansio as well as a good years worth of future proofing.
