Any issues with the Shuttle AN35Ultra

What has been the highest anyone has gotten with this board. It is 60USD delivered from newegg right now so I am going to get it soon. It might drop a few dollars but how much cheaper could it get. I think I am going to get the board, some fans and a power supply soon. Then watch Barton/memeory prices for a bit. This is going to be my Xmas presnet to myself.

I read a review just before the board hit the market. The reviewer got it up to like 241MHz on the FSB, which is one of the reasons I figured it was a fairly safe board to get for O/C, even though the board doesn't have chipset voltage control.

Well I spoke too soon. I just ordered it at 56.99 delivered from newegg. 3 whole dollars less than 2 days ago.

Trust me, when you get the board and get it running and see how well it really does, especially for that kind of money, you will agree this is the best performance/budget board available for AMD chips.

Oh, but just an FYI, if the board doesn't come with the latest BIOS, you will notice missing multiplier settings, so if you notice that, just download and flash the latest BIOS.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure what CPU I will get. Probably a 2500+ Barton. I hope it has the latest BIOS. I have never liked messing with flashing my BIOS. Yeah for 57USD you can't go wrong. And I appreciate the advice form the 512 vs 2 256 thread. I think I might go with one 512 stick of PC3200.

The BIOS flash is really a piece of cake, although I don't like to do it if I don't have to.

I would also watch out, since the price difference between PC3500 and PC3200 is almost non-existent. I got my 512MB PC3500 for $88 shipped.

I have to go with Unforgiven. My Son's Shuttle is running his XP2100+ Tbred/B at 2.17......when ya get it set up you'll be happy with it I bet. One thing though....you might want to throw a sound card in there. I noticed a slight Buzz with the on-board sound when no music or gaming going on

I was probably going to go with an Audigy for sound.
