Well, AFAIK, stress is the biggest cause of heart attacks, and it seems to me the younger generation gets more stressed out on games(CS for one) then the older generation.

i think it could happen. stress = adrenaline blasts, and that could possibly lead to a heart attack if the person had a problem to begin with. i voted "maybe."
Damn! That's not good, I've got a 'defective' ticker. I've got MVP - Mitral Valve Prolapse. Apparently one of my heart valve's displaced - whatever that means. Does this mean I'll have to give HL2 and D3 a miss?! I don't think so.....:p :DQuote:

i thought that stood for "most valuable player." :p
hopefully you'll be okay, as long as you're not dying to play them. :p

I do know that when the original Doom came out, people complained to id about motion sickness due to the game looking so real. Heart attacks are doubtful unless you drop an 89 year old man clinging to life infront of the screen.
I've been video gaming since day one(2 bars and a blip). The only game that ever made me the least bit nauseous was the original Descent.
Flying through those tunnels with my ship cork screwing at the same time just got to me.
I don't think anyone will have a heart attack. There aren't too many old ppl playing games like this.:D
Yeah, just wait another 40 years or so. Then we'll be the old fogies collapsing over our keyboards. :pQuote:

thats rediculous...
i remember when Jurassic Park first came out and everyone was saying it was too gory/scary for kids.. please :p
The only way people will die from heart attacks with Doom 3, is when thier pentium 4-3 Ghz , 512 MB ram, ATI 9XXX pros will run the game at 10 frames/second.
Like most of ID's games, when they first come out...
Possible, but unbelievable. I meen come on, a heart attack from watching a screen, a game, some graphics! Kind of sounds stupid!
Hey youngster, I just turned '50', this year and I still play games, not as fast as I used to be, but what the heck. I don't think I will die from a heart attack playing games, though I do get frustrated at times.:DQuote:

Doom 3 will be able to do anything a cheeseburger can do.
I mean old gesers. Your only 50. Your not that old. I don't think you'll be playing computer games in 20-30 years, but you never know.:DQuote:

You are probably right, no one at 70+ I know personally that plays games on the computer, and thanks for the compliment.:D
