ccms2 then in this case would be better? because all it sounds like, is that stereo surround upmixes just like ccms2, but with a little less bass. in that case, stereo surround isn't really stereo surround.

Here's what I find...:)
CMSS:Adds some reverb and slightly less bass
CMSS:More reverb, more in rear, too much bloated bass
Stereo Surround:Adds the correct amount of bass because it's playing an additional channel. Doesn't seem to alter the fronts/rears by adding any reverb.
You sure are giving Sony a lot of credit...last time I demoed a SWM-20, Alberto's Chicken and Chile Fajita and my colon generated more bass.Quote:

Deep and quick bass is the way to go! Aka. Your Ultra's sub.:D
lol, harsh.
I'm sticking with Stereo Surround I guess, thought it sounds like it upmixes a bit, (because it sure is louder and thumpier than without CCMS (reg stereo)).Quote:

It's like having a 7 slider equalizer. Instead of just adjusting treble & bass, you can adjust many of the frequencies in between.Quote:

I just tried CMSS2 and Stereo Sorround. The difference is huge.
You can barely tell the difference on how the music/sound sounds when under stereo sorround from the speakers. While with CMSS2 you can hear a HUGE difference of how the music sounds when coming from different speakers.
So which do YOU prefer? (just curious):)
umm...i don't have stereo surround in the drop down box. Do i need the drivers just released? I tried d/ling the new drivers and it said i don't have any wdm drivers.:( I don't know what that means, but i installed the drivers off the disc.
update your drivers and try that again.Quote:
