How about I donate my system? :p
Edit: Someone on here, had a real mean 10 megaBYTE/second download, but not very popular.
my clan runs a 50 person BF server and it costs us about $40 a month, which really isnt that bad when you split it up over 10/15 people.
I dont do anything but donate money, but if you want some answeres to how we run it check out

Oh just a FYI running a server is a big pain in the *** for at least one person, they have to decide who gets admin rights and supervise the server, plus you need to find someone you trust running the funds and the machine
well as long as we setup an ftp to it, i wouldnt have a problem doing all of the administration for it and i dont think its that big of a dealQuote:

I have an Allied TRUE 450W Power Supply I can donate. We or someone can get a case for $21 at newegg free shipping with a window! We can always build 2 computers

Also we can take a vote every month on what game to play.:)
alright, thanks alot guys for all of the hardware donations, but its kind of useless without a connection
would anyone be will to make maybe a giant for sale thread with everything everyone wants to donate, and we can use that money towards renting a server? it would prob be maybe $30-40 a month and with a forum of 30,000 people where at least 1000 are constantly active, i dont think that would be very hard to attain, but maybe i am in dreamland :)
comon guys - some of you out there have got to want a sharky server of some sort - if you guys have any more ideas, PM me or post them here, since it seems either noone likes my ideas, or people just dont care
No connection - no server. I would love to see one though. we almost have a complete PC if someone had the bandwidth.Quote:

Also cat said he could slap one on his school T3 line but connections wont be great. It would be a start though....
A 50 player server for $40. That sounds like a great deal to me. Who host it for you?Quote:

I'd be willing to kick in the 1st months rent on the server. Then we could start collecting donations.
if your serious, i would be willing to help outQuote:

but we gotta choose a game
if we got at least 100 ppl active in this games forum then if each donated even only $0.40, it wouldn't be hard to raise $40 a month for the rental...
yes but as you can see the amount of people willing to help is not very high
If we can do it for $40/mo i'm definately in, but all game servers i've seen are 3-4 times that price for that many players. I'd like to have at least a 24 player server for desert combat.Quote:

Just keep in mind that the more intense graphically a game is, chances are the harder on the server it will be. Games like BF1942 would need a mean system I'd think.
