Ok, my pc problems mysteriously went off for a few months and now it has resurfaced again. This time, its worse, it hangs every few seconds and I have to restart it for like @#$%^ times before it is able to function for more than an hour. I have thought about letting a computer technician service my PC but I'm afraid that the problem will "mysteriously" go off again. Any suggestions? Oh , btw, about the PSU , my bro's comp have the exact PSU(bought from the exact same shop at the exact same time) and it doesn't give him any problems, so could my comp be suffering from any other kind of hardware malfunction?
Examine the Mobo for Bulging or leaking 'capacitors' (cylindrical, upright objects on the board)...also examine for Reddish/Brownish Green crud on the surface and around the bases of the caps
Is it just me, but did anybody catch his -12V reading? It says -3.55V There's you're problem ! The -12 is WAAAY out of spec. Just wondering if anyone caught this other than me. Good luck with your problem.
Yeah, but almost nothing uses -12V rail! As long as +12V and +3.3V rails are fine, he is ok...Quote:

I assumed that would imply a faulty Ground connectionQuote:
