I just built a system for $700 total that I am extremely happy with.
Your gettin this just because your sister got more?....
Your gonna need a car soon....I hope they get you a used Crown Victoria since you spent all their money on this computer.
I would send back the CPU,Videocard,Hard Drives, and Monitor and buy more moderate components!
Does your dad and mom have such extravagent toys?
Maybe they dont understand that 2000 would buy a computer that would be the envy of most everyone I know.
There are tons of people that spend that much on alienwares that aren't even half as kewl as that, go for it.
Ok im getting the MX 900 Instead I think its better then the 700 no?
Why not spend $2000 on a kickass computer and use the rest for candy and video games?

If you're going to become an overclocker, get the ATC201 instead, better airflow for OCing.
>>Memory: Corsair XMS 1GB PC-3200 TwinX1024-3200LL PC3200 (2x512) - $250
Mushkin PC3500 Black Level II, better to OC
>>Speakers: Logitech Z-680 5.1 - $284
Klipsch Promdia 5.1 Ultras
Thanks OS-WIZ, should I get hard drive coolers as well? and Ram things? ALSO what are those wires that make the computer look orginized so you dont see all the wires from the power supply and such? Thanks

Wiresleeves, you can buy a powersupplys pre-done from frozencpu.com, but they get kind of pricey, the one I like, Antec Modular TrueBlue 480w, costs $180
I can only order from newegg -.- Do you think newegg will have anything?
edit: Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Platinum Series, Low Latency (Twin Pack) 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-4400 - Retail
is that better RAM or will my processor not support it? I was orinally gona bet an AMD but decided not to because of the memory issues.
I don't think newegg has wiresleeving, might want to look at their powersupplies, there might be one that comes wrapped. PC4400   That would work, but that is WOW, I didn't even know they made it that high, unless you plan on overclocking ALOT you won't need that.Quote:
