Hmmm...getting an issue with sounds from other programs while running foobar- should aim stop making sounds while I'm playing music? (only occurs when playing music, not when the program's just sitting idle)
yes, Kernal streaming is rather a bully about allowing other apps access to the soundcard...but you didn't want anything interrupting your music anyway, right? :D

Ok then, I can live with that, just wanted to verify that I hadn't done something wrong.Quote:

Well, I said it before and I'll say it again. You're the best.

You're using the A2 configged foobar, correct? Go into preferences and scroll down until you see "output". make sure "Kernal streaming" is selected there. go to the kernal streaming settings page and make sure your card is selected.Quote:

On the other hand, some cards have multiple "virtual inputs" so foobar might be sending data to (and locking) virtual input 1, so AIM and whatnot may be defaulting to virtual input 2. cool!
remember, these preconfigged files aren't tested. Anybody have any comments on the new look I gave it?
That's why I said "you're the best" again.:)Quote:

thanks zemo.
you are quite the foobar guru.
just to make sure: you double checked that kernal streaming is selected in the "output" window? If it is, I'd say your good to go!
Yep, I did and my AIM sounds still work :pQuote:

Which file to use for M-Audio Audiophile 2496?
Thanks,
Ron
the M-audio cards don't resample, so use the non-resampling 32bit one.
If it gives you errors, go to preferences > playback and change the "output data format" to 24 or 16bit...wichever the highest is that it works with.
