Worked like a dream, Soupnazi. New Audigy drivers expand that CtPanel massively, allowing me to enable "Stereo Surround" (after disabling CMSS in the Creative mixer) and adding all sorts of other bells and whistles including an equalizer function. My sound card is now recognized as an Audigy 2 [CF00].
The change is like night and day. Thanks a lot.
