heh, just for kicks, TEC+Icewater (no real difference at load, but this was fun to see):

Nice work.
Those seem like very nice temps.
great temps.
Maybe i'll buy one of those things in the future (if my father doesn't let me get phase change :P ) since my motherboard hasn't died afterall :D .
Hey esh, have you thought about running a chiller setup? It's usually more effective than direct TEC - CPU cooling, though you'll have to get some more hardware for that. Just a thought if you feel like screwing around with the system. :)
yea, actually i'm considering a lot of things right now:Quote:

easiest: evaporative tower.
hardest: build a water chiller.
expenive: buy a Mach II
i'm leaning towards the latter if i do anything at all...
how about a modded mach 1? or a custom phase change unit?
i searched for about 2 months for something like that before just buying a WC setup. i couldn't find a modded mach I w/ A64 kit and i had two custom deals setup that both fell through...Quote:

just build the kit yourself and save $100 to get it modded
i have no tools :(Quote:

all i have in my dorm is a soldering iron, a screw driver, and a dremel.
thats more than enough, just cut the wood into the correct lengths and find somebody with a drill to drill holes. you could evne buy the tools and it would still save you money
or i could just buy a brand new Mach II for $630 shipped...Quote:

but a modfied mach 1 would get much better temps...:p
gah, double post, see below...
heh, well now i've got a deal going with a certain, well-known phase change unit-builder in which he gets my video card and goes for #1 3d01 and i get a nice new custom phase change unit... sounds good to me :) especially since i was considering SLI anyway, this just makes it an easier decision.Quote:

PC ICE? hope you get some nice temps cause once you go phase change you'll always shoot for colder temps ;) hoping for some -60C loaded by this christmas
