Did you order it from EB online? I rememeber one time when I was in the store the guy told a customer that the retail store was totally separate from the online store. So you would have to send it back probably v. taking it to a retail store.Quote:

sierra still has half life 2 on thier site and thier name still on the box so yes they still have publishing affiliations with the series so **** them again
all products from steam are dled from thier site there is no physical copy of anyting in any pack you order the only thing going for them is that if you get gold you get a hat along with soundtrack and everything else the retail version promised also your entered into a raffle to visit valve studio
like a sap i bought my CE from ebgames site they ship pretty fast so i decided to go with them, as far as store credit bah who needs that i guess im stuck with the crap that i ordered
also i should mention that thier forums are blocking yahoo,hotmail,aol,etc accounts what does this mean trying to do a little media black out of how crappy your product is why bother even bah i give up but be for warned next time im dling hl3 bootleg thisis my vengance since i paid for two games and only got the value of one
The normal version is weak too, but at least you don't go into it expecting much. 5 CDs in paper sleeves, a quick ref card and a $20 off coupon for people who buy 9800 and lower ATI cards.

all in all the game is amazing i just tryed it at a friends on his crap *** card what scalability i wet myself twice and craped uncontrollably 4 times
I got the collector's edition as well, and I feel like an idiot. Last and only time I get a collector's edition of a video game. I thought at least the "hint book" would have a basic walkthrough but it only covers the very first part of the game. HL source is not even a complete remake, the character models and most textures are from the Blue Force expansion pack. I would have gotten the real collectors edition from the website but I'm currently on TDY and only have access to a crappy DSL connection. Great game though.
when i got ut2k3 a while back i took it right back and said it was crap because i just upgraded my computer and it was running it on low detail at 25 fps and below. they gave me store credit and i got a couple ps2 games. i think they did give me the option for a refund thoughQuote:

I too was disappointed by the CE.
Opening the box and seeing the prima book as a little pamphlet is like looking down your pants one day and sees a little baby corn :o
Man, and they should have at least put the DVD in a DVD box.
Oh well, at least it's not 5CDs in sleeves.
So the collectors edition doesnt even have the same amount of rediculous content as the Gold package? Thats garbage!
