Just to clarify, I'm talking about PLAYTIME people. Playtime. That is how we measure the time in a MMORPG. If you all actually have a week, like those who are lvl50 and you are still 15 you might be doing something wrong.

Talking in real time, not playtime now...the leveling curves in the games are completely different. EQ2 only goes to 50 I think, WoW to 60. I'm figuring in EQ2 it will take around 6 months before we see like 80% of the original player base hit 40+. In WoW, you'll see 80% of the same player base hit 50+ in 6-8 weeks, maybe sooner.Quote:

I guess there is a good thing though. In EQ2 you would probably only have a single charcter, and maybe an alternate. In WoW you could probably get 4 characters to cap in the same time it would take to get 1 in EQ2.
I see it as, WoW not having all of the annoyances of eq2. Running across a huge 15-20 minute flat field to get to a new dungeon with your group, when you can take your group to a instance in a instant just being right over the hill in WoW. Things like that. They are both great games, i have them both, if you have more time on your hands play eq2, if you have less time on your hands play wow becuase you'll feel like you've accomplished a lot more and will get less frustrated.
You are forgetting the "Let's get 40 of us together, travel to the enemy newbie zone, and kill anything that moves until they assemble an even larger / higher-level group to counter / steamroll us" quest content.Quote:

Also, I don't see what the big thing is with quests in these new MMORPGs [WoW and EQ2]. There are really only two kinds. Kill task, and run task. That's really it. I don't see how that translates into conent. Personally, I find those quests boring and would much rather be in a good group. At least then I can talk to people about things and stuff, but to each their own. [/B]
But that's not present in EQ2.
