to those who have played...how are ping times? is it smooth playing? I'm just wondering because I was on for liek 5 minutes last night and everyone's pings were slightly above average...including mine
btw I'm gonna be making changes to the ut2004.ini till about 1pm central so it's gonna go up and down a lot...after that though it should be up for the entire night because I gotta work and go to school
I think my ping was around 65. So a little higher than when Colossus had the server up, but I was on the server alone at the time so I don't know if it will stay the same.
I was lagging because I had downloads going ...
According to Kali, I usually ping between 60-85. Thats about average for me...so I shouldn't have any concerns over lag.
I just have to re-install the game when I find time :p
What do you use Kali for Gar? I haven't really used Kali since way back in the Warcraft II days.Quote:

I was on a bit earlier, but all I could play was an Assault map, and I was all alone, so it wasn't much fun.
On the bright side, though, I did win.

Man empty again. Well I reinstalled xfire and it couldn't find my old login and friends list so I had to recreate it. Maybe I'll have better luck with that.

I'll add some bots to the server...not a lot of them as I hate seeing a server full of them but at least something to do before real people arrive...tonight I'm going to install anti-tcc which is an anti-cheat program and maybe some small but fun mods like jailbreak and carball...it'll be going up and down tonight since I'll be restarting it often to see the changes...but if anyone joins I'll jump in and play...if anyone wants to play some dm or whatever I'd love to take a break and play...hit me up on on or x-fire (PointlesS) or aim (PointlesS76)

no not really...it was really just a coincidence that these two events happend on almost the same day...I always wanted to get a server so I always had a place to play with settings and maps that I liked...at first I really wanted to do a server that was just pure custom assault maps...no stock maps at all...but really after working with assault for so long while doing my map I migrated to other gametypes...now I just go to gametype to gametype...not really playing a single one for too long so I just made it a multi-type gametype server...
I was on for a little yesterday playing Urban ONS or something... Somebody came on for a sec and saw me destoying the competition, and left like in 2 mins... then I was alone on the server again. Xfire...what's that..oh yeah...I still got that...See ya'll soon.

Midterm week this week, won't be able to jump on until the weekend (well, maybe I'll get on for like an hour)

I assume what he is saying he is going to do is say he will put 6 bots in and when a player joinsit will remove one of the bots. So 5 bots one person and if another joins 2 people 4 bots and so on.
