Well at the time I subscribed, I was heavy into the LAN gaming scene, and invariably I'd be a LAN party and someone wouldn't be patched to the latest version or maybe try a mod etc. So waiting 40 minutes was 40 minutes of not playing. Plus the price is offset by a subscription to Computer Gaming World as well as some other tweaks. I don't mind paying for bandwidth as it's not like the file host sites can give bandwidth away for free when they have to pay for it themselves.

lol to the people in whatever thread who said no choppers, plenty of flying stuff around on large maps (Oman) but it can get sluggish, this is quite a power hungry game, just so nice........AWESOME just a few tweaks, I just was on a fast server and it can get sluggish....

OMG...downloading from gamespot and guess how much bandwidth im getting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!20.8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ON A CABLE MODEM!!!!!!!!!!I have no clue why its going soooo slow , maybe every1 tryin to download it from the same server?

Hmm... SUXOR!

It got released publicly on the FileShack servers, and guess what?! Estimate time till download begins - 70 minutes. Great... so I waited and clicked on the button to play a sound when it's ready. Obviously it didn't, and my window got expired! Great now I have to wait another 70 mins, sit here and watch it every 2 seconds so I don't miss it.
