Nope, I couldn't be much farther from Philly (within the US) but I love my Flyers. Perhaps a Seahawks mod is in order instead. ;)
Yeah T-D, I remembered the Boss project right after I posted. That one's about as good as an orange case could be.

On this case, it is Krylon white, semi gloss paint. Rattle cans.Quote:

For those not in the know, for several years straigh, Dallas - Edmonton could be counted on for a fierce hockey series!
Some great hockey played on those hops...
Everyone knows that the only reason the Dallas stars are any good is that they have some of the worlds best on their team (Finnish players). Seeing how Edmonton only has 1 (a goalie), I foresee Dallas winning any matches there may be.
The Finns are a huge point, I'll definately concede that...
but to overlook Modano (career year), Arnott (Career year), Morrow (one of the hardest working hockey players anywhere), our collection of talent has really gelled this year.
We have 4 lines that we can roll out, and all are potential points and game changers.
We pretty much have the highest collection of Finnish players on our team, 5 I believe, and every single one of them is valuable and play incredible 2 way hockey!
:D

Yea, Dallas sure has Edmonton's number in the playoffs. There was only that one year when Marchant scored the overtime winner in game 7 when Ludwig tripped on his laces.
Other than that... some painful memories.
Those were always hard fought games though... always by 1 goal...
Remember Belfour punching Laraque in the back of the head with his blocker?
I can't hate on the Stars as much as I could in the past... they no longer have Hull, Belfour (I'll give you a billion dollars ossifer!), or Hatcher (man I'd give up my liver to see Laraque corner him and pound his face into mush).
I'll be much happier of Edmonton plays Detroit (who I think they actually have a better chance against) than Dallas (assuming Edmonton even locks up a spot... Sweeeeeeeeeeeet Jesus... lost to ST.LOUIS?!? What the hell?!?)
Playoffs are BACK! No clutching and grabbing!
I checked the Oilers roster... I was sure that there had to be more than 1 Finn on the team, but you're right! Only Jussi.Quote:

Personally, and I'm sure it's because I'm biased, I prefer the Canadian players. They sure didn't show it in the last Olympics though... a national disgrace.
For the longest time, the Oilers had the most American players. Those days are long over though.
Pitkanen = next year's Norris trophy winner.
And don't sweat Hatcher, trust me he is a mere shadow of his former self. He can barely skate and plays with no meanness like he used to. :(
I'll watch Laraque vs. Brashear anyday, though.
I loved Big Daddy when he was here in Dallas. I have not heard that much since he lft and went to Detroit (injury) then Philly.
When Hatch played in Dallas, I loved how he played... sorry guys!
I'll also say this much, in NHL HITZ 2002, Hatcher was a wrecking ball!
It is FUN to have him on my team!
;)
I'm no longer concerned with him.Quote:

Not anymore.
In fact, now I'd love Edmonton to play Philly... he's effectively a pilon out there now... and Edmonton has always been a fast team.
Hatcher WAS the type of guy that you loved if he was on your team, and hated if he wasn't.
He was a good team player though, and stuck up for his players. He was a good captain. I loved that tilt between him and Jerome Iginla last playoffs (man Iginla showed heart fighting that monstrosity!).
Hatcher was always quick to fight someone smaller/of lesser quality though. He was hesitant to fight someone his own size, and I never saw him want to tangle with Laraque (lotta barking... no action).
Laraque and Brashear is a good bout!
Edmonton's in!
And if I was them, I'd lose their next game and guarantee a matchup with Detroit first (I know it sounds crazy).
Pfft why not pick a GOOD team like the wings, lover of the wings since the probie days, which to this day still gets screamed during the NA

Can't stand 'em myself, but there is no arguing that Detroit puts a winner on the ice year after year. And I hate them a lot less than I do the Devils/ Rangers. :D
