Is A+ cert really obsolete??

Has anyone ever heard of Compu-College (it's in Canada)if so is it any good? I'm thinking of getting my MCSE and CNA cert. with them. What's the job market like in the Seattle/Vancouver area for people that are certified in A+, MCSE, and CNA? Are those 3 certifications enough to get me a decent job? Question: Which certs are a one time deal and which ones do you have to renew every few years? My friend told me that A+ is a one time deal, but what about the other ones? Just curious.

not true about no one hireing you if you only have certs, I'm currently getting my A+, MCSE and MCSD (and a few others) average wage after having these certs are $60,000, thats definatly not bad. Oh yeah, I'm also using my friends that have already gotten these certs as examples, not just text book averages

Well I dont really thing he was meaning that certs were bad just not as good as a degree and I am sure you can agree with me on that. But having certs IS good like the last fella said being able to keep up with the tech. age. But for me I find a degree just seems more prominent as far as work goes and yes it does look grrreat on a job resume and yes the A+ shows your employer that you do know how to handle comouter hardware. So I would say again A+ is a bonus along with a degree if you dont mind going to school for 2 years to get it or a cert umm MCSE and so forth not to shabby either MCSE<--------hard *ss tests heheh I took em and I tell you what I have never taken anything so hard in all my life.

The word out here in the Metropolitan Washington D.C. area is that they look at experience and degrees first and then your certifications. So don't put off college. That degree is going to be the meat in your meat and potatoes. Besides, college is fun as hell...because of all the hot chicks that you will meet. They are everywhere at my university. I heard that the Ohio University (or was it the University of Ohio...whichever university is in Athens, Ohio) has the best female to male ratio in the U.S. When I went down there to celebrate Halloween it certainly seemed so.

Well right now I guess you can say I am taking a sabatical from school right now... btw what was the female to male ratio there??? Here at the College of Charleston is something like 7:1 female to male... and i am starting to take some computer classes at a community college and working right now at the College of Charleston in computer dept....low man on the pole...

Where would I go to take an A+ test, and also where could you get a study guide or book or something? Also i don't know if it is extremely difficult, is it just basic questions concerning hardware or software or basic questions concerning them both combined?

My impression is that it should be really easy if you have been messing with computers for a while... I am not so sure though.
