I ran into a lot of 'You must be running the same version as the server' - probably half the servers I tried gave me this message.

P.S. I HATE the limited run time for infantry. I was hoping they would eliminate that in 2142.

I tried to get into the beta but i barely missed it. I love BF2, Should i consider buying this?

The mercs mod has no limits on run time..the maps are awesome as well as the weapons.
New maps pretty much every week ;)

Not much. I was at least expecting something better than BF2 though.

I thought it was pretty cool w/ the "alien's"-like drop ships and some of the player upgrading... granted only one map and it is still a beta copy. One thing I did do this weekend is I tried Point of Existence Mod for BF2... WOW... its awesome... I love the weapons and the maps... check it out if you want a good mod for bf2...

Hmm, I noticed that they'll give BF2 players an instant promotion, an ingame BF2 veteran identifier, and a special audio taunt.

Almost makes me want to buy it now. :D
