yea the cutscenes are the only reason i wanna play it. although saying that the demo was pretty fun.
with Kane = 9/10, without Kane = 7/10.

i just finished playing through the first ACT of the GDI campaign
all i have to say is wow, some seriously fun gameplay here, there is never a dull moment. There is also various ways to finish each mission, for example the last mission in ACT 1 has you retaking the white house, but all NOD's forces are shrouded under stealth generators. So i sent a small squad of grenade troops in apc's up the left flank and nailed their power plants to drop their defenses.
oh and the cut scenes are top notch, drooling with nostalgia
this game seriously takes me back to the early days of pc gaming, and i love it
while the mechanics might not be revolutionary like SupCom or other recent RTS's this game just serves up fun at every turn
"Kane Edition includes a bonus DVD with a behind-the-scenes documentary, deleted scenes, blooper reel, gameplay strategy videos and more, five new multiplayer maps, three unique skins and five exclusive wallpapers"
I'll be looking for a new strategy game once my Medieval II campaign wraps up...
Do you guys think this or SupCom would be a better choice overall (I'm only going to buy one at the moment)?
For some reason I could never get into C &C. I tried with pretty much every version, but no go. Granted, with Grace Park in C&C3 I might be able to "rise" to the occasion...hahahah...get it!...hahaha..ohhh I slay me.
No but seriously, I think she's attractive.
I've tried a couple times also. Dunno what it is. :(
best line ever... "I'm the Juggernaut!"
Make your time!

She's hotness. Complete and utter hotness. Accept no exceptions.Quote:

And now this thread is mildly nsfw.
I really hope there will be a scene where the commander "accidently" trip and falls on top of her . . . .
I am enjoying it a lot. Is it only me or do other people have audio mushy problems? I have a soundblaster platinum and 5.1 speakers. But the vocal sound is mushy and comes out the rear channels instead of the center channel. I downloaded the new patch and it is still there. I don't see any eax or advanced settings for audio.
Blech! Way to skinny. At least Tonya from Red Alert 2 had some meat on her arms.Quote:

Oh sweet. They have the girl off of the show House in CC3. I might have to pick it up, she is hot :)
Ugh.... GT racing wheels, Asian fetishes... so off-topic.
C&C3 is a very fun game. Very old school feel, where you mass units, and then rush the enemy, with HD cutscenes in between missions. Soem like that, some hate it.
As far as strategy games go, it's the opposite of Supreme Commander. SupCom focused on large-scale strategic management, dealing with armies and units in a massive scale, and a slower and deliberate pace. The strategy you use in Supreme Commander (ie, zerg rush, investing in expensive units, using nukes, etc) plays a tremendous role in whether you succeed or fail against your opponent.
C&C3 focuses a lot more on micro-management and unit upgrades. The build tree is short, flat, and fast, so you could be cranking out top-end units within a matter of minutes of starting a game. The game is much faster paced, and very visceral. Explosions, rail guns, and superweapons look cool in that sci-fi video game way, and shake the house if you crank up the sound. Your success in-game depends less on your strategic choices, and more on your tactical ability to micro-manage your units better than your opponent.
Overall, if you really liked the playstyle and story-telling of games like previous C&C / Red Alert games, or like the playstyle of Warcraft 1/2/3, then you'll really enjoy C&C3.
