That isn't what they seem to be saying. Even at 1024 by 1280 the DX-10 PC version is pushing more pixels - IE higher resolution than the 360.

For top quality you need the PC, but then you have to pay for that $600 video card.

Exactly. Something I don't think I really need to do. Yea when Crysis comes around I'll be sad (and Far Cry 2), but meh. 360 it is.

I'm not going to buy a console, but I can't play this at all on my 850XT - I'm holding out until the DX-10 cards improve and drop in price.

OK, maybe I'm just naive, but isn't it possible to connect a pimp-tastic PC rig to a TV and output at 1080p since the video card would be pumping higher resolutions than that anyway? Is there software / driver support for this? This may be a dumb question, but I haven't looked into this since I connected my voodoo 3 3000 to a 27" CRT at 640x480 back in the day. I'm a little behind on this.

yes, ive hooked up my 7800gt to my 42" HDTV and i can tell you CSS and Quake4 on a giant widescreen aint that bad. my only issue was getting the onboard sound to hook up to my dvd/receiver (which i couldnt :()
it was as simple as plugging in the DVI from my PC to the tv.

Yes, you can connect a pc to an hdtv. Depending on your video card you may need drivers/additional software to get the proper resolution on the hdtv. There's a sticky in the Video Card forum.

Won't audio problems be solved also when HDMI starts becoming the de-facto output/input choice?

Ah, interesting. To me this makes one of the main pros of the XBox 360 version I keep hearing - comfy sitting and big TV somewhat moot. If I was going to put all that money into the TV and surround sound, why not also buy a wireless keyboard and mouse so I can hook up my PC and play games like bioshock with a mouse & keyboard (and possibly better graphics if you have the rig) and still enjoy the comfortable couch and big screen. You can even hook up the XBox 360 controller for madden and such to the PC. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm surprised more people aren't boasting about this kind of setup for a game like this.
