the prone argument has been debated for 6 months since they announced it wasn't going to be in. It's really not that bad. It beats a server full of dolphin diving RPK'ers like in BF2, so it's fine with me....BTW I'm at 60% d/l :)
I've played about 2 hours of multiplayer, and it's freaking amazing. The maps seem to be really great and the destructibility changes everything. I don't really know what else to say, other than I'm going back to play.
Just played some single player. This game is really good looking I think and runs decent @ 1680x1050 with everything on high and HBAO turned off. I do notice that the white spot in the corner of the screen is still there (it was sometimes there in the beta as well. I thought it was stuck pixel at first and freaked out) and the AI was a little wonky (the area where you knife the guy in the beginning - the other guy ended up choking water and then the Japanese soldier on the bridge just fell over) though.

I ended up buying it. Just played a Conquest game with PointlesS and Astros and it was pretty damn awesome. I approve.

A lot of fun tonight. This game is like the game you dream of as a kid, except this time someone actually made it.
ahhhhh...so nice to be back in a battlefield game. Bailing out of a tank to knife the guy planting C4...wonderful. Stealing his kit, then planting C4 on HIS tank with HIS C4..priceless :) I'm up to 26 knife kills ;)
Damn Internet took a crap last night....... Comcast uugghhh. So far I am really liking the maps, way better than mw2s cramped maps
the main thing I dislike about multiplayer is that it takes quite a few rounds to bring someone down. Totally unrealistic. MW2 feels much more real in that respect.....as a result BC2 feels more arcadey

I think it's about equal. If you play as an engineer the guns you start with are pretty weak. Once I unlocked the SCAR, it became somewhat more easier to take people down. The biggest difference was unlocking the XM8 as assault. It felt massively better than any other gun available. Plus there's hardcore mode, which increases bullet damage, disables the hud, and does a few more things.
