I got an ibm 60gxp I had it for like 2-3 months it's working great so far...it never burns my finger even after playing like 4 hours of games...it's the 75gxp's that blow

Yes, the 75GXP series had a great beginning, but after a short amount of time these drives developed problems and failed more often than any other drive available.Quote:

I hear the 60GXPs are great though.
However, I'd stick with something like a Maxtor or the BarracudaIV.

Yeah get the Pulse 424's , I remember when my friend called me to brag about how he got the Klipsch 2.1's and I went over and listened to him.Then I had to ask him what the price tag was!It was outrageous! In ur opinions, which is better, IBM 40GB ATA100/7200RPM (60whatver) , MAxtor ATA100/7200, Baracuda IV 40GB/7200 RPM.?
I think the Barricuda IV is the fastest in benchmarks, but they are all so close in price/performance that it would be hard for me to choose- but I personally like IBM.Quote:

I like the idea of getting 424's for $35! Especially if theyre anywhere near the klipsch quality! I also think I might go lite-on they are cheaper. Also, what'd you think, would a athlon 1700 oc to about the same as an 1800? or am I getting what I pay for? I'm kinda worried about getting the xp and screwing up the unlocking and screwing everything up.
