Apparently early first quater next year. Differences should will include RAID support, but little else is known. I'm hoping for more Vcore settings, but that's anyones guess. https://www.sharkyforums.com/images/.../2005/06/5.gif

Thanks for the reply, the reson i asked is I would and need (badly)a DDR mo/bo (thinking of raid to use as standard ide's if possible). This is a list i have not narrowed down, yet:

Of those boards, if it's to difficult to get an EPoX, and you have the money to spend, the Asus A7V266-E is an excellent board with RAID and pretty nice overclocking features. I'm sure that it'd fit your bill perfectly.

But I'm hoping the 8kha2 will have ata 133, usb2, raid, and uber overclocking abilities.. most likely will not, but that would be the sweetest board.. oh yeah and onboard LAN and 6.1 sound. like soyo dragon but better! yummy.. pair that up with a thoroughbred and I'm happy for life.

I think you can set RAM dividers can't you so that the RAM is only running at a fraction of what the CPU is running at???

This is really making it a tough decision between the Soyo Dragon and the RAID version of this board. I'm waiting until after christmas anyway... but man I'm losing patience!!! I've had two sticks of 256mb DDR 2100 Crucial RAM just sitting around waiting for me to make a decision (got it when it was cheap). This sux!!!

Does anyone remember a specific instance in which prices dropped immediately after christmas?? I'm just curious as to how much it might drop and if it is worth the wait. Thanks!

holiday sales are usually the best time to get stuff cheap. It usually gets more expensive after christmas.

I'd say the Mushkin, but that's just my opinion.

Anyways, an update on the beta bios (8khil00).

Plain and simple, this bios hated, and I mean HATED, my Radeon 8500. So far, everyone that I've talked to who has had success with this bios is using a geforce3 of some sort http://dev.www.sharkyforums.forums.relay.cool/
