Moderating isnt too hard if the people who are posting think before they hit reply :) Sometimes they don't and thats when the fun begins. :rolleyes: Thankfully even the trouble-kids here are for the most part 80% of the time well behaved.

Huh? moderators have access to this forum, although they can't actually moderate this forum unless they go under "sharkymods," which i'm not even sure is available in ASF :p

we have no access to the moderators forum though :(

Mods have access to every forum. Mods can moderate in every forum when they use the correct password.

Actually, now that I think about it, i'm not so sure SharkMods is around anymore. There may be a feature in vB which allows access with the correct password, without actually having to use a seperate account. I'm not too knowlegeable with VBulliten and UBB, but i'm guessin SharkyMods is probably not around anymore, and has rather been replaced by whatever vB has to offer.

SharkyMods has disapeared from the moderators list, so I'm assuming they either disabled it from being viewable or it no longer exists :p

Unless every mod was a supermod, then they only have access to their respective forums. With vB there are 3 sets of powers by default:

Moderator - These have access to however many forums an admin specifies, but they cannot edit/lock/delete etc anything outside of their forums.

Super Moderator - Moderators in this group have access to all forums to edit/lock/delete etc. Sharkymods would be a supermod (as if you look at the moderators column on the main page it's not listed in every forum) and thus any mod with the password to it would then be able to moderate outside of their given forum. Depending on settings made by the administrator, they may or may not have power to the admin control panel to do banning etc.

Administrator - Power to everything everywhere.
