My old trusty IBM thinkpad PII 166 ;) with like 48mb of RAM or some crap like that.
NO usb, but hey it works ;)
It basically sits with my wife who does some emailing and stuff like that on it.
It's great to take on trips and dial into the net though to check email.
I prefer my Pocket PC ;)
a friend of mine has the Toshiba 5200...one sweeet laptop...DVD-RW, GF4 MX460 64MB, USB 2.0, that really cool touchpad with background images, and one heck of a display...i think its one of those Ultra-sharp UXGA screens....either way, its one of the best laptops i've seen...
Could'nt be happier with my dell Inspiron 8200 p4-2.2, 512 ddr ram, ati radeon mobile 64mb ultrasharp display, 60gb harddrive ,wireless lan internal adapter, dvd/cdrw on windows xp pro!!
this baby runs games such as unreal tourney 2003, battlefield 1942 and spearhead smooth as a baby's but cheeks!

I just bought a VPR (Best Buy brand) 180B5. P4 1800 (I succumb to Intel this once), 512 mb DDR, DVD/CDR, ATI Mobility Radeon (M7) 32mb, 30 gig HD, 15 inch screen, built in wi fi + Modem 2 USB and 1 firewire port in a pear tree.
$1,300 after $200 rebate (does a little dance around living room).
Anybody have an IBook ... wish I had one of those ( and not because it looks cool either).
im a TA for my economics/government teacher and i have to grade on his ibook. I dont particularly like it much from what ive seen of it.

Well, right at the moment, I'm really sorry to say this, but I haven't got any laptop! I was thinking about buying a Toshiba though! What would you guys suggest? Yes? Or no?;)

Running an old Dell PII 233 and it works great!
My backup/doing homework on the couch system is a Toshiba 2500CDS
P233MMX.
Slow but it is nice to surf from the couch when you are trying to procrastinate.

The 200A5 is cool. Too expensive for me, but nice screen.
i was using a netgear ap my friends gateways range went way father than mine. I went to bb and told them the prob and threatend to return it and they just said that they would give me a pcmcia card and keep it so i accepted and im happy now. :)
I have the internal minipc card (built in), and it seems that it gets a better connection.
I recently got a 12" PowerBook: 640MB RAM, 60GB hard disk, a DVD-R drive and 802.11g :D
And it weighs about 2Kg. Very nice. Despite the warnings about 802.11g being a draft standard, it works fine with my Buffalo 802.11g access point/router.
