haha, why are you guys getting so excited?? I guess you are giving up on proving that I am acting like a child in some way?? Perhaps it was wrong of me to point out that you have lost a lot of respect (if you had any) but when you blindly fall on your knees to a company who is obviously struggling you have to take the lack of respect that comes along with being... a fanboy.

You cannot change the fact that when the 9700 and the FX run with equal IQ, the 9700 wins. I don't think anyone can honestly say that the FX is a better card... maybe they can... but I would really be interested in how they could convince anyone of that.

First Test, I am using Det 41.09 and using the Pro version of 3DMarks03, I set the program to take an image shot of frame 740, which was one of the frames that started this thread.

I own a 9700 pro no one ever said the image quality was better on the fx.

Just to add my experience with my 1 run of 3dmark'03. I noticed that there were no flames during the plane crash in the first test though there was black smoke, I just figured that it was part of the way the tests were run. There were also no shells ejecting from the planes machineguns, again, I just thought that was the way the test was run. But during the CPU test run of the planes, there was flames, and shells. But it was also shwon from different angles, so that added to my thoughts that thats the way the tests were meant to be.

Altough I didnt notice anything in any other benchmarks, other than lower FPS in the CPU tests of the benchmarking process. I don't think this is any sort of "conspiracy" by nVidia to try and up there score, we all know they have had some isues as of late with the detonator 40 drivers.

I do not blindly follow any company, and to prove you wrong I had mentioned in plenty of post that I was not going to buy the FX, and I was going to give the new ATI 9900 card a shot.

So does that constitute a fan boy? I don’t think so!

I probably pissed in your cheerios when I stated that you cannot compare IQ vs IQ on a video card. Its all up to reviews interpretation. I prefer hard numbers over what a reviewer thinks of if setting A equals setting B.

Hard numbers??? So you do agree that the FX generating atari like images CAN and SHOULD be compared to a 9700 Pro generating very high IQ gfx?

You remind me of someone i know. he doesent own much but whatever he does own is king.

Nice car coll maybe one day i could own one too and have those same expensive repairs down to it.

I'm trying to make sense of this post... not really sure what you are trying to say in the second part.

I was seriously thinking about upgrading to a Ti4200... I saw it as a better card than my 8500. The performance difference wasn't enough to justify it. I guess that disproves your theory that whatever I own is king :(. Sorry... you can keep trying though! I'm enjoying this!

Colossus doesn't think it is fair to compare the performance of two graphics cards with their IQ being as equal as possible. I'm not sure I would describe him as being "fair." I recall him saying 8x aniso should be compared to 8x aniso, regardless of how it looks.

I made one post about that in this whole thread and as you read i did apologized about the fx thing. And am not mad about anything i just think paladyr is a retard.

I aint no nvidiot nore a fanatic i could care less which one of these companies product i own.

Thats the wrong test. Thats the CPU test, and the flames show up there. The one they are referring to is frame 2,297 of the VERY first test that runs. Even on my card, there are no flames there. Everyone is getting the flames and stuff on the CPU test. So take a screenshot of frame 2,297 of the first test that runs and post that one.
