A friend of mine has 2x256 Mb Corsair XMS PC3200 and offered to let me try it with my setup. Hopefully, I can get together with him this weekend and test it out. I will report back with results.
When you buy your second stick your memory will have to drop from 231 to 180 or below or it will not boot.Quote:

I doubt that... possibly to 220 or so, but not 180. I'm not certain which NB stepping he has or if he did the VDD mod so don't hold me to my word.Quote:

If you have 2x512mb Kingston HyperX synched on an 8RDA+ A1, you won't be able to get above 180mhz. The most I've seen anybody get is 185mhz and it wasn't stable. That's why I'm talking to Kingston and Epox now to try and resolve the issue.Quote:

Janko, I wouldn't be so absolute about it yet. Although there is a strong likliehood most may not get that high it doesn't mean it is impossible. I can say one thing for sure though, and that is there will be a BIOS fix for this someday. :cool:Quote:
