So let me get this straight. You had a 4600 then sold it, now your back to a 4600? Is it right for me to call you a freakin retard? Seems appropriate.

and thats uncalled for  maybe I have a very good reason why I did that. Lets say I had a 1GHz tbird when I got the ti4600......talk about bottleneck. also I bought it again for a "low" price so there
What a pathetic thing to say.... :mad:Quote:

I dont agree with the exact wording of Alientank comment.. But it does have a ring of truth...
Even though your CPU was the bottleneck for the video card.. Have you ever heard of growing into hardware? So what if your current processor is slower then your video card
You next upgrade would consist of replace the CPU and/or motherboard.. So why replace all that and the video card..
It was stupid to sell off the older 4600 for a whatever... Since you could of kept the 4600 and grown into it.. So down the line your video card would be your bottleneck...
ok here is the logic:
paid $150 for my ti4600, sold it for $180, I coulda kept it but I didnt notice the difference in games and in the meantime the ti4600's value has gone down and now it is worth less than before
T-Bird's a wheeler-dealer, or that is what we used to call people in the old days. Never happy unless selling and buying constantly. Of course unless you have a lot of money, and a scammer then you lose. To me if I have a high quality card, I am not going to go to a cheaper card just to save a few bucks. It just seems that T-Bird's logic or lack of brings out the worst in people.
Remember Mr. Haney from 'Green Acres'? I'm selling all my 'old' stuff(8K5a2, Ti4200, SBLive!) to a friend at an absurd price to upgrade his Celery 1G/Trident (I think) 8M integrated video. He saw my NASCAR 2003 and wondered if he could play it on his rig.....Quote:

Gets my recent upgrade a lot cheaper. I'm not an ebay kinda guy.....
I am sooooooooo glad I have that $200 9700np....
Oh, yeah, I think some of the description(s) here might pull back a bit......
is there anything wrong with that? I sell stuff on ebay starting at a buck, so its legit. I also buy off ebay. Yes I take a small loss on shipping and ebay fees, but this beats the 15% restocking fee anyhow also I get to have fun 3dmarking and tweaking. I had two ti200s, getting a 2nd ti500, am on my 2nd ti4200 and I bought two more mx440s. I want 11k on a ti200, 12k on a ti500, 9k on an mx440 and 15k on a ti4200. oh also bought a radeon8500 3.3ns gold edition, this might give me 13k if I get like 320/320

........ what ever floats your boat? :)
Tbird its not that you buy/sell off Ebay, its that you buy/sell the same (read: old) hardware over and over, instead of saving up, and spending it wisely on one system that EATS(TM) the combined assortment of circus/flea market hardware you have assembled since you came to us here at Sharkys ;)
Opstar you hit the nail on the head.:DQuote:
