But there is this ghetto mod site I think I have a link to somewhere.. Some of the stuff was hilarious!!!
dont bother planting pennies, they arent worth much and its not much fun lugging a bag full of pennies all the way to the bank :p
Best Buy owns FutureShop, and our warranties ARE what they say they are.
Its either 1. the store you return it to. 2. you are misunderstanding your warranty.
In other words...? Is the warranty crap or not? :)Quote:

no it isn't. I sell it all the time, and I'm also a Tech and I do the warranty work.
I buy the warranty on all the stuff I buy at Best Buy.
Its especially good for LCD screens and laptops.
Cool, glad to hear it. :DQuote:

Btw, do you guys sell Motherboards/Processors as well, or just these add-in cards? *drools at the thought of this kind of warranty for a CPU and motherboard...*
I know Futureshop does sell mobos and CPUs, but they're extrememly limited choice and prices are high.
Like a trip to my local Futureshop shows a P4 1.6A (wow), a Celeron 1.7GHz, an XP2200+, a ASUS P4B533 and a MSI socket 462 mobo.
An XP2200 wouldn't be too bad, particularily with that warranty... ;)Quote:

Also, if they have that stuff, I'm sure they do special orders! Opstar?
But, with the warranty and the cost already, you could probably get 2 XP2200+ for the same price from somewhere like newegg.com for the Americans or NCIX.com for the Canadians.:p
Not necessarily - assuming that it costs 10% more at Future Shop, you'd end up paying about 21% more (since it's 10% more for the warranty). Not bad! :)Quote:

Well, at the moment the only price I remember is the ASUS P4B533 (cause I bought the same mobo from Canadacomputers) and it was $269.99 at the time and I bought the same from CanadaComputers for $189...
as far as Best Buy goes, you can get the IC7-G and some HT P4 chips but they are really expensive.
I'm not sure if they offer the warranty on them either.
