Hey DeadSanta, you've got PM (regarding the Tygon tubing).
Rgr. :D
I bet it died on you....
nah seriously I would imagine around 2.26 to 2.33GHz.
i'll guess you got maybe 200mhz more. it's good to see that you entered the world of decent cooling t-bird, congrats. i am awaiting the actual results...hurry up t-bird!!:p
I don't wish you gone by any means.
This is a perfect example of the crap we have to put with when you do post, though. Now you are making your overclock a stupid guessing game on top of everything else that has transpired with your posts.
Maybe a post with, hey, if I had known it would have made this much difference, I would have done it sooner, maybe I SHOULD listen a little better, then after waxing about your temps, put in the darn clockage you got.
I and hundreds others told you it would make all the difference in the world, so you go a piss people off even more with a guessing game.
I have no desire to guess your clock, but I do know it is tons better than what you were getting before.
My only concern is if you got a higher FSB with your kt400 board and the new cooling.
Whatever.

:D
200 fsb at least? 2.4ghz sounds too much...it's possible but it's tbird, I'm guessing 2.3?
I never thought better cooling would help his OC. And I still dont think it will. Meaning.. it probably ISNT going to gain him much speed. The only thing is... he'll be able to raise the Vcore alittle thanks to the better cooling... but knowing the BS he spews... he wont run it at over 1.8Vcore... because he doesnt want the chip to die after two years.. because he wants this "super 733t" cpu to run with his 70dollar 9700PRO. But anyways... 2.3GHz would be my guess... his chip isn't a good overclocker. None the less... good luck to ya.
And to the guy that says Tbird actually know's alot... I talk to the guy on AIM alot... and I'll tell ya... I'm not impressed at all. Sounds like the typical "review-site-worshiper". You know.. the kind that walks into a computer store and argues with everyone about the hardware they sell... saying crap like... "but the online reviews say it.. just log on to this site"... ::sighs:: lol.
TBird seems to know what he's talking about. Or at least believes in himself. I cant say that i agree with him. He still thinks his kt400 is faster than my nf2...
But seriously, you should upgrade more stuff. Namely your powersupply. Hows the tornado? Ready to destroy your hearing before age 80?:p
knowing tbird, he's probably going to get some really wacky end result number. like 2.31 ghz. He also seems obsessed with trying to beat my 3dmark score with his 4200. I insist that i did not even try and simply ran the bench after installing all my other stuff, games, etc. But he seems to think i have reached my limit. I assure you, I will EAT(TM) you!:D
I think this guessing game is fun.........ok time to let it out.....
"his chip isn't a good overclocker. None the less... good luck to ya."
not a good overclocker? O boy you are soooooooo wrong :p
**********drumrolls...........2.47GHz was my max overclock I achieved at 2.2 volts none the less. also my surface temp at that overclock is only 45c!!!!!!!!!!! Thats how high my temps were at 2GHz and 1.6v with my old "stock" cooler! I can do 2.38GHz at 1.95v but it seems that this cpu needs a full 1/4 volt just to do one multiplier higher. Before you guys flame me, I took the risk. Well I did try to eat Ignitor's score of 14703 or something but came very close however. I feel a v mod to the ti4200 comming then 15k is within my reach

14642 marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
again with the mystery.
my guess is you got more of a clock at the same FSB.
if that is the case, yes you will be running faster in total MHZ (not a bad thing at all), but your bandwidth will be the same if the FSB has not been wacked up several notches.
BTW, not bad for a 2000+, you got a fairly decent one.
how about a screenie or two, just for verification purposes, ya know.
crud and gloat, time to find something inbetween.

LOL ya please post the normal sandra and CPU-Z shotQuote:

cpu: Tbred AIUHB xp2000+ unlocked and overclocked to 2.47GHz!!!!!!!!
isn't your sig a bit off???, shouldn't it say 2.47 max, then maybe your FSB and x, and maybe a reference to actual speed run on a daily basis under normal ops???
anyway, welcome to decent clocking world, it took over five months of painful posting back and forth between you and hundreds of others to reach this level. now, once you decide to can the kt400 and join the ranks of NF2 lovin', high FSB............wait a minute, that WOULD be to much to bear.
OMG.
now run some decent stress tests and come back with your best stable overclock and some benchies.
clock on.

Try running Prime95 for 12+ hours and see if your new overclock is stable :D
I guess I'd call myself a 'casual overclocker' here and I must admit I've made a few T-bird cracks. Gotta admit sometimes it's hard not to. Maybe I feel like others here do in that we're all trying to do pretty much the same things without all the fanfare.
Saying that, I just feel like putting my 1.5 cents in to say I'm glad, T-bird, that you hit a good o/c. NOW, your next step is to sell the 14 cards u have, buy a 9800Pro, and hit.....23k!!! Why not??
How much better is the SLK 800/900u than the AX-478? That's what I have now...
I used to have a Tordando on it, and it maintained ambient case temp at idle, and about 4C higher under load (this was on my o/c'ed chip). But the noise got to me (and my wife ;)) so I put a Stealth on it, and forgot about it. I now have a P4 2.4 running stock speeds with the Stealth/AX-478 combo, and it runs cool....However...I may want to try pushing this chip a bit when HL2 comes out..

I shall try prime95, but that doesnt mean much, prime95 is so intensive a cpu can complete games and 3dmark all day but crash in one min from prime95. even lostlilchild had to back down his cpu to complete prime95. I dont care if it cant do prime95 if games and 3dmark are rock stable. also I wont even leave it at 2.47GHz only for benchies. id probably lower it to maybe xp2700 speeds, havent decided yet for games :) anyway the xp2000+ isnt bad as I have proved with my great overclock. told ya and I saved money by not getting the xp2100+
What have you been playing?!? Pac Man and Snake doesn't count ;)Quote:

So your overclock is NOT stable... So you dont care about random reboots during gaming... As long as it completes 3DMarks??? AND I THOUGHT I WAS BAD!!!!Quote:

You have to have some kind of common sense in that head... If it doesnt complete prime95 then its not stable :D
He said that he doesn't care about Prime95 if GAMES and 3DM are rock stable......Quote:

But he hasnt tested it with games... Please... He probably only ran 3DMarks... One can run 3Dmarks for 2 hours and the system NOT be stable...
If prime isn't stable, chances are that games won't be stable either.
as fast as Tbird can do 3DMark tests, change cards and test again, then post scores and linkies, you would have thought some screenies and whatever would have been forthcoming post haste regarding proof. much like he demands with comparable 3Dmark scores..............
nay, maybe he is still trying to find out what clock is stable enough to complete a battery of tests.
still no answer about the FSB, back to his usual stuff, it is like pulling teeth from a hen...............
i am sure it helped his overall clockage and his stable overall clockage, but the mystery still continues.
baldy:D
Yeah, I know....just trying to cut him some slack...it WOULD be nice to see/hear some game(s) results, with AA/AF....yeah, right.....Quote:

This is why I bought a 2.4C, an slk-900 and a tornado 92 mm fan. Oh ya and a rheobus 2 when I sleep
