Actually, this Prometeia has brought me nothing but good luck disguised as bad luck. :D Let's examine the past 2 months' events:
1) I buy a used Prometeia for $425 (got a great deal). It turned out to be DOA (seller screwed me over ).
2) After the Prometeia wouldn't work, my system wouldn't even boot up with normal air cooling. I thought the video card was dead, and ended up getting a 9800 Pro for my 9700 Pro.
3) I traded my old mobo+"faster" cpu for this new motherboard and a "slower" cpu (although, AFAIK, it will overclock further since it's a DLT3C).
4) I ended up getting a replacement Prometeia for free (which, btw, has just been shipped, it will be here tomorrow morning!!!).
5) Chip-Con tells me I can keep my old unit (as long as I send them the sticker with the serial #).
6?) I've tried sealing the old Prometeia, and it looks like it worked, but I won't know until I get it recharged with R134a. Worst comes to worst, I can get a new cap & return tube (won't be cheap, but it will restore it to full working condition).
Also, if I decide to nail the guy who sold me a broken Prometeia  (by filing a Paypal claim), I could get my money back. :D
